Imperial Germany RP Rules - Owen - 03-21-2025
Outline
These rules apply to our Imperial Germany RP server, and are enforced by the Partum Verse Networks staff team. The staff team reserve the right to interpret these rules in all situations, at any time. Common sense applies to these rules, and therefore, trying to find loopholes within them is not allowed, and can result in a punishment being applied. We want everyone to enjoy their time on the server, and so these rules are in place to ensure that happens.
It is almost impossible to outline a rule for every single scenario, and so, as scenarios occur, these rules will be updated, and staff will always have the final say in a situation.
It is recommended that in order to ensure your side of any situation can be shown, you have some sort of recording or clipping software. Staff can only base their judgement off of the evidence they are provided and so in order to report a rule break, there is an expectation that you will be able to provide evidence that demonstrates a rule break has occurred.
This server has no "downtime", and so these rules are enforced 24/7, if a rule break occurs when staff are not present, you are able to report this on the forums.

General Rules
- You must have a valid RP reason to kill someone. For example, if someone is posing an active threat to you, such as shooting at you, damaging you, then you would have a valid RP reason to kill them. If someone is posing a passive threat such as holding a gun on safety, or insulting you, then that would not be a valid RP reason. You must give someone a verbal warning and give them around ten seconds to respond before escalation. You cannot bait someone into shooting you.
- You must always remain in roleplay, and roleplay in a serious manner. This includes, but is not limited to, having a valid RP name, a serious description, and putting effort into your RP, such as using /me. Anything that you do, or say, is considered a part of roleplay and must be treated as such. Your description should only describe your physical appearance. It should not include character traits, or lists of personally made ranks and titles. Your name must also be relevant to the time era, and you cannot impersonate (in)famous people
- You cannot roleplay as a hitman, serial killer, psychopath or any other trait that involves harassing or killing others. Any action undertaken by a character with these types of traits or rules will be treated as a rule break.
- Upon the death of your character, you are considered under the New Life Rule. This means that you must forget all events that happened within the 15 minutes prior to your death. You cannot interact with the person who killed you, or their faction/friends for 15 minutes following your death. The New Life Rule does not apply in a situation where you were RDM'd. UA+ can disallow NLR in certain RP situations.
- FearRP applies in every situation. You must always value your own life. Not abiding by FearRP can result in a PK.
- Do not impersonate any member of this community outside of roleplay. This includes pretending to be someone else to staff members. Lying to staff members can result in a permanent ban.
- Spam is not allowed on this server, this includes, but is not limited to, prop spam, chat spam, microphone spam.
- Failure to use proper spelling and grammar in chat may be considered FailRP.
- You cannot avoid or disrupt any RP situation. This includes, disconnecting during RP, stalling RP or switching characters. It might also include disrupting RP events. This can result in a server ban or a blacklist from events.
- When requesting a PK on another player, you must ensure it follows the PK guidelines.
- Erotic Roleplay of any form is not permitted. Any form of ERP might result in a permanent ban.
- Forgery of documents is considered power-gaming.
- Making use of Out of Character information is considered meta-gaming and is not permitted.
- Voice modifiers and sound boards are not permitted. If appropriate media is being used, such as marching songs, then it is allowed, otherwise it's considered FailRP.
- You cannot use more than one title in your IC name, for example, you cannot be "General Dr. Jane Doe". You may put these kinds of titles in your description.
- You cannot LTAP/LTARP. If you are in an active admin sit, then you cannot leave the server to avoid punishment. Initiating an RP situation and then leaving the server can result in punishment. If you are unsure of whether it is LTAP/LTARP we recommend waiting a minimum of 10-15 minutes before disconnecting or switching to another character. If you crash, then please attempt to contact the Staff Member as soon as possible to inform them.
- Do not abuse any in-game systems or functions that give you an unfair advantage. If you find a glitch and abuse it to benefit yourself then it's your obligation to report this, and not abuse it. If abused, this can result in serious punishment.
- Being a member of conflicting organisations is not permitted. For example, having a character in the ISB and Military Intelligence is not permitted.
- A staff member's decision is final. If you do not agree with a decision then you should take it up through an appeal, or directly with a higher-ranking staff member through Discord, or by reporting them through the forums. Interfering in a staff situation can result in punishment.
- You are permitted to use a family name on the server, however you can only have 3 members in one family at most. Please note that the actions of one family member can reflect on other members. Only one member of the family can hold a General position at any time.
- All riots/protests must be pre-approved by Global Administration. Any unapproved riots/protests will be considered mingeing and will result in punishment.
- If an individual is detained or tied for more than 15 minutes without sufficient roleplay (interrogation or trial) then staff hold the discretion to release them from detainment.
- Characters must be no younger than 18 years old.
- If you undertake an action that you know will result in an IC consequence, you cannot leave the server for up to 20 minutes.
- A situation can only be voided with GA+ approval.
- Respect all members of the community outside of roleplay. Harassing or bullying another member will result in punishment.
- You are not permitted to speak OOC over your microphone, use local OOC (/looc) only to communicate out of character. This does not apply in staff situations.
- You are not permitted to have arguments in OOC chat. Your ability to use OOC chat might be restricted as a result.
- You are not permitted to utilise your vehicle to run someone over unless your life is in danger. For example, if someone presents an immediate threat to your life (shooting at you, pointing a weapon at you off safety), then you may use your vehicle to get away and run them over. However, anyone who deliberately attempts to run someone over, such as driving on the pavement or clearly not looking at the road, and kills them it may result in a punishment and be classed as VDM.
- Deliberate attempts to ruin the roleplay environment is considered FailRP. This includes, but is not limited to, BunnyHopping, Driving Modified Vehicles or Building Unrealistic Creations.
- You may not plan to assassinate your commanding officer for the sole purpose of gaining power. You must have a detailed reason to want them dead that aligns with the PK guidelines.
- You cannot kidnap or mug a General Ranking Officer. These individuals would command respect, fear and would realistically have a guard detachment.
- If you mug a person for something, and they give you it, then you are not permitted to kill them.
Character Rules
- Your character must have a realistic name (First + Last name). If a staff member deems your name to not be realistic then they can ask you to change it at any time. Your name can be deemed FailRP if it includes any slurs, non-name nouns/verbs, names of famous people, or only have one single name.
- Your description must be realistic. It should describe your physical appearance. Anything within your description is noticeable IC and can result in IC consequences.
- You must remain in character at all times.
- You cannot re-use the name of a previously PK'd character, and you cannot play as a relative of a PK'd character. You characters are unable to have any connection to one another.
- You cannot use a secondary character to assume a role or position you were just removed from. Doing so can result in a serious punishment, including a character ban.
- You cannot remake your character to change your characters information, such as hair colour or eye colour, once you have pressed create this information is unchangeable and doing so will be considered powergaming.
- You cannot have characters that you consider "throwaway" characters so you can minge. If you repeatedly create "minge" characters this can result in a character ban, or a server ban.
FearRP Rules
- You are considered to be under FearRP when your life is at risk. I.e. you are under gun point or knife point (within stabbing distance).
- You must value your life at all times. If you attempt to escape or pull out a weapon then you are considered to be disregarding your safety. This is considered a denial to value your own life and will result in a PK.
- Acting in complete disregard to your life and dying as a result can be considered a PK at a staff member's discretion. For example leaping off a building.
- If you are holding someone under FearRP and give them a command which they do not follow, after being told more than twice, then you are permitted to kill them. Though it should not be the first choice of action, you should make every attempt to RP out the scenario without killing them. You must give a person an adequate amount of time to react to your commands. There is not excuse that would permit you to kill them, such as your game audio wasn't turned up. OOC events cannot be considered an excuse for FearRP, such as being AFK. Whilst you are in the server, you are considered to be IC.
- You must have a valid RP reason to place someone under FearRP. I.e. You are mugging them, kidnapping them, or detaining them. You cannot use FearRP to bait someone into a PK, this can result in a server/character ban.
- If you are attempting to put someone who is in a vehicle under FearRP they must be within talking range and your weapon must be pointed directly at the driver with you being in the driver's line of sight. The car must be immobilised, such as pitted, or unable to move. FearRP does not apply to individuals driving at high rates of speed.
- If you are a fair distance away from the person attempting to put you under FearRP (outside of talking range) then you can escape without risk.
Mugging Rules
- You cannot mug someone in a public place. You can direct them to a secluded area under gun point to achieve this but there cannot be other people around.
- Secluded areas include: dark corners, abandoned buildings, areas with no people in sight, alleyways. Areas that are secluded are decided by staff discretion.
- You are only permitted to kill the victim if they are not complying with your demands. You may only make realistic demands.
- You cannot kill someone for coming across you mugging someone.
- You can tie a person and steal their inventory items.
- You cannot mug someone who is interacting with an NPC, Vendor, or Wardrobe.
- You must flee the scene after mugging someone.
- You cannot mug the same person within a 30 minute window.
- If killed whilst mugging someone, you can be PK'd.
Killing Rules
- You may not randomly kill someone without proper roleplay reason. (RDM)
- You may not kill someone or escalate a confrontation to murder just for verbal disrespect/argument. If someone continues to disrespect you, you may physically intimidate or hit them. The player then has free choice on how to respond/retaliate. If they choose to flee, you may not kill them.
- If the player is attacked, they may flee and return later to exact revenge on the perpetrators.
- If the player is subject to an active threat via knife or gunpoint, they can choose to break FearRP to retaliate at the risk of a PK or instead leave peacefully; however, they may not return later to attack them without sufficient reason as the previous situation would have already ended. This ultimately would be seen as Revenge RDM (RRDM).
- In regards to how a user is allowed to react to verbal threats.
- There are two types of threats, an 'Active Threat' and an 'Idle threat'. Players may kill for an active threat, but they may not kill for an idle threat. The difference between the two is situational, but will always pertain if the person making the threats has a weapon in their hand. For example, someone pointing a gun at you and threatening to kill you is an Active threat.
- Someone saying they will kill/beat you in an argument or conversation (Unarmed) is an idle threat.
- You are allowed to react to an Active threat in that very moment.
- If someone is loitering/following/harassing you, you may give them multiple warnings to leave you alone. If they ignore several warnings and continue their actions, you may attack/kill them.
- You may kill in self defence or in the defence of your friends/faction/property if deemed appropriate.
- You may not initiate either verbally or with the use of what is seen as an “Active Threat” in order to kill or attack a player in the result of their own defence for an instance that you had started. This is considered baiting and will not be taken lightly in recurring situations where staff must intervene. (Ex: You start an argument with someone and/or punch or shoot them to force a confrontation for the sole purpose of killing them)
- You may kill someone in self defence if they have refused multiple requests or commands under gunpoint to leave your private/faction property.
- You may not kill people for witnessing a crime you committed unless they are a witness to a PK you have executed. You can threaten them to ensure they do not report it, but you have to be 100% certain that a player informed the authorities before you can take violent action against them. In this case you must have what is considered a “Dirt PK” approved on the individual beforehand. Likewise, you cannot kill someone for looking like the person you meant to kill, and you cannot kill innocent bystanders. You must be 100% sure you are shooting the right person.
- Initiating a shootout or violent confrontation with the authorities can lead to a PK. Killing or attacking the authorities after initiating a violent confrontation leaves you susceptible to a possible PK. Generally, we do not want people to immediately go for the gun when dealing with authorities, as a result, if you escalate a situation to a shootout, and lose, you can be punished via PK as your character was killed. This does not apply if the authorities fired first or escalated to a shootout.
- You may not kill or escalate against someone based on inventory sounds. There's no way to know where that sound comes from without it being considered a form of metagame.
- You may not kill government authorities for no reason. You may not kill the authorities for simply pulling you over or questioning you. You may not kill the authorities for giving you a lawful order.
- You may retaliate against anyone (including Government Personnel) who are directly and/or openly acting against yourself or others who you have important connections to in-character. It is to be noted that in the case of which you are out-armed or out-numbered, you must act in accordance with FearRP or killing rules.
- A group member is defined as the following, and will largely apply to civilian characters:
-They are a member of your faction.
-You must properly know them in character.
-You may not attack Government authorities or interfere when they are detaining someone you do not know.
-This does not apply to Government personnel inside of Government Buildings or if your group member is detained inside of a Government building, as this constitutes a raid which MUST be approved by Upper Administration or higher (Government characters, so long as they are acting appropriately, are allowed to find their own means of breaking into said buildings without staff approval).
Metagaming Rules
- Do not speak of IC matters, OOC.
- You are not permitted to make use of unapproved Discord chats, or servers, to subvert the main Discords of Partum Verse Networks. External or Unapproved channels of communication are generally considered OOC unless clearly stated. There will be zero tolerance towards members who metagame.

- You cannot create moveable vehicles out of props.
- You cannot create one way or nocollide entrances.
Powergaming Rules
- Powergaming is described as forcing some form of roleplay onto someone against their will, usually in violation of the rules to bring advantage over another player either through means of FailRP or OOC material. Using other game mechanics to powergame can include: Attempting to force players to do things outside of the server, forcing players to kill their own character, forcing players to commit crimes, forcing players to RP or /me's against their will, forcing players to give their F3, etc.
- You may fabricate evidence (or lie) to create a roleplay situation at a risk to your character.
- You cannot Fake Signatures or lie to get individuals PKd.
- You may not abuse the /roll to powergame situations.
- Planting evidence is permitted, but cannot result or otherwise aide in a player being permanently killed.
